Living Library
The Living Library is a tool that aims to bring together people from different backgrounds to share their stories and life experiences. By engaging in conversations on a personal level, it seeks to challenge prejudice and discrimination. In our handout, we provide information about the concept in the context of remembrance culture and step-by-step tips on how to organise a living library. It is available in 4 languages:
Oral History
Oral history is a technique for generating and preserving personal stories and historically relevant information. Personal narration allows access to the experiences of the narrator of their lives during a certain event or specific moments. It can help young people to understand history on a different level. In our handout, we provide information about storytelling, how to conduct interviews and how to use it as a method for workshops in schools and with youth groups. It is available in 4 languages:

Suitcase of my life
The activity aims to create an environment in which different people can talk openly about their lives. It begins with a matching process of tandem partners belonging to different social groups that don’t have much contact with each other under normal circumstances. They share their life experiences, and create objects that stand for the various experiences they made. In the end, each participant will have created his own individual “Suitcase of my life”. Our handbook contains all the information about this method and a conversation guide with tips for good communication. It is available in 4 languages:

Peace Education
Based on these experiences partners developed a “Remember to act”- peace education training curriculum. It provides session plans for 7 sessions lastin 210 minutes (breaks not included). The training session is addressed to young people aged 15-17. The maximum number of participants is between 25-30. In the appendix you will find additional training methods developed in our project, which trainers can use if more time for the training is possible.
